The following guidelines will provide key information about participant eligibility, registration, submission as well as selection/judgement criteria. .

Eligibility: 

Ugandans aged 18 and above.

Registration:

Registration is by signup of this website and is absolutely FREE

Topics

A topic shall be released every quadrimister, to which participants shall respond by submitting their essays

Submissions

Submissions shall be made within user accounts. Once a participant has signed up, they will log in, into their account where they will find a provision for writing an essay. Only form submitted essays shall be considered.

Selection

The Judges will review the submitted essays and shortlist them for publishing with consideration to the writer’s responsiveness to the topic at hand.

Essays that are about another topic other than the prevailing competition-topic maybe published but will will not be considered as part of the competition.

Judgement

The winner of the topic in the given quadrimister shall be as per the public’s reaction to the essay. Essays with the highest views and user engagement (ratings, likes and comments) shall take the cash prize.

Timeline

Essay competitions shall be held at a quadrimister interval; that is to say (January – April, May – August, September – December). The winner of each quadrimister shall be announced on the 28th day of the following month after the topic quadrimister.
